Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras have many uses. Most people are familiar with them as speed cameras and tools for monitoring public spaces. However, they can also be used for investigating problems with storm water and sewerage lines.
We’ll insert a small CCTV camera into your drain or sewer pipe and carefully guide it through your pipework. It will reveal any leaks, failed connections, or crushed sections of pipe. If the pipes were improperly installed – for example, if they’re not sloped strongly enough toward the street or if they’re undersized – then the camera will reveal that. Of course, it’s also excellent for finding full and partial blockages.
If we need to dig, then the camera will tell us where. There will be no need to expose the whole system of pipes. However, in most cases, all that we need to do is clear a blockage through the use of water jetting.
