It’s not hard to understand why a stream of high pressure water is useful for drain repair and maintenance. Drains – whether they’re sanitary drains or storm drains – carry a lot more than just water, and they can easily become fully or partially blocked.
At Smart Flow Plumbing, we use jetting for two purposes: drain cleaning and drain clearance. Before inspecting a drain with our CCTV cameras, we jet it out to make sure that the pipes are clear of loose material and normal build-up around the inside surfaces. That way, we can identify and target the real blockages. This method can also be used for routine drain maintenance.
We also use high velocity jetting to clear blockages in pipes. Most slow and blocked drains can be cleared without resorting to harsh chemicals that could damage the pipes, and without actually having to isolate the location of the blockage and address it directly.
